    On April 16th, a piece of blockbuster news came from the China Marine Bunker 2025 Global Green Supply Chain Partners Conference: the domestic first Green Methanol Product Carbon Footprint Evaluation standard (T/CIQA 109-2025), of which WINDEY was deeply involved in the preparation, was officially released. Such a standard is of milestone significance as it fills the gap in China's green methanol carbon footprint evaluation system and provides an authoritative technical basis for the standardized development of the industry.

     

     

    As a leading enterprise in the new energy realm, WINDEY, relying on its technological practices in green energy, participated in the preparation of the Green Methanol Product Carbon Footprint Evaluation standard throughout the process. This standard creatively underlies a green methanol carbon footprint evaluation system that “gains a foothold in China and keeps in line with international standards”. Besides, it seamlessly integrates the realities of Chinese industries with the requirements of international standards such as EU standards. From the perspective of the life cycle ranging from raw material acquisition, production process to terminal application, the standard helps establish a scientific and systematic carbon footprint evaluation system, providing a unified standard for the development of the entire industrial chain of green methanol in terms of certification, trading and application. This standard officially came into force on March 3rd, and it has successfully won the "Excellent Group Standard Award" of 2024 from the China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Association (CIQA).

     

     

    According to insiders, the release of this standard marks that China's green methanol industry has come into a new stage of standardized development. To sum up, this standard has not only resolved the industry’s headache that there was "no standard to follow", but also paved the way for the massive application of green methanol in such fields as shipping and chemical engineering, which is of great significance for promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of energy.
